Zander Guckian, CEO & Founder
My journey in strength and conditioning began early. I grew up in a small gym called Olympic, where I first fell in love with weight training at just three years old.
That passion eventually carried me to the world stage at sixteen, where I became a silver medalist powerlifter and set multiple national-record lifts.
In college, I rediscovered my passion for athletic performance through football. As Lead Assistant for Trinity University Football, I took on roles in operations, athlete support, and strength development. It was in this environment that I discovered my true calling in coaching.
During this time, I also founded Fit For Freedom, a personal training and supplement company built around helping athletes maximize their potential.
As my coaching philosophy evolved, I transitioned away from competitive powerlifting and began pursuing amateur bodybuilding—giving me the opportunity to apply my background in strength to an entirely different approach to physical development.
Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to coach athletes at nearly every level, from kindergarteners taking their first steps in sports to collegiate competitors. I’ve served as both an Assistant and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, including as Site Coordinator at Davenport High School, where I oversaw offseason strength and conditioning across multiple sports leading into the 2025 and 2026 athletic seasons.
These experiences have shaped a philosophy that extends far beyond sets, reps, and numbers on a bar.
I believe strength training is one of the most powerful tools we have to develop discipline, courage, confidence, and resilience. My goal as a coach is not simply to make athletes stronger. It is to help them become stronger versions of themselves—in competition and in life.
